What is this?

This song is a folk song that changes as it's passed on. Each copy is a sound file that also carries the program that sings it.

This studio shows the version this computer makes today, and lets you:

• Hear it. ▶ in the bar at the top plays what is selected: the sketch at once, or sung, which takes a little while.
• Change something. The tempo and the key at the top; the words on the Page; who plays where, and the notes, in Arrange; the levels and the room in Mix. Select anything and the column beside it says what it is, why the program chose it, and how to change it. Undo takes anything back.
• Wander. Time shows other days, other computers, and opens someone's version.
• Pass it on. Export it: one file to share. Anyone can run it with Python to make the next version, with yours as its parent. Tools has the MIDI, the parts, the piano page, and ways to bring things in.
